U.N. Passes Resolution On LGBT Rights

When it rains, it pours, as the old adage goes. So it should come as no surprise that, on the heels of good news from the New York State Assembly, the United Nations is making it rain even more.

In Geneva today, the U.N. Human Rights Council passed a resolution recognizing that LGBT people deserve equal rights. Hillary Clinton weighed in with a Secretary of State-ment, calling the decision a "historic moment" for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.

Darn right. Not only does this resolution declare protection for queers around the globe, it establishes a panel to review discrimination and help put it to an end.

Can we get an amen up in here?
