Nicola Formichetti to Open Pop-Up Shop

Sometimes we have to wonder if poor Nicola Formichetti ever makes time to sleep. He's already run down his to-do list, which includes the formidable task of dressing Lady Gaga, serving as creative director the Mugler's men's and women's lines, acting as fashion director at Vogue Hommes Japan and contributing to V Magazine as well as styling numerous campaigns -- all of which require him traversing the globe multiple times a month. Oh, and did we mention he was one of our 2010 Tastemakers? With all that on his plate, Formichetti is now taking on yet another fabulous task -- he will be participating in BOFFO Building Fashion, an initiative that partners fashion creatives with architects to help create unique re-imaginings of everyday spaces. That means come September, Formichetti will open up a pop-up shop. In the video above, he explains the concept of the store, which sounds like an amalgam of Formichetti's various inspirations -- from bad-ass punk rock style to a minimalist vibe. He even mentions wanting on part (he'd like the shop to be divided into four spaces) to resemble a flower shop. We don't know how he's going to do it, but we do know that it's destined to be brilliant.
