John Galliano's Show Included a Model with a Star of David Tattoo

This was a busy weekend in Paris, busier than most with the media (us included, obviously) all a-twitter (literally and figuratively) over disgraced designer John Galliano's eponymous show which showed yesterday afternoon. While at this point it's hard to look beyond the echos of the looming scandal and actually focus on the show and clothing, the toned-down presentation was met with generally positive reviews. But, as is typical of something so bizarre and hyped with such fevered scrutiny, a few people have already picked up on a strange piece of minutia that occurred at the show. Apparently a model, her willowy arms exposed from a sleeveless, embroidered emerald dress, was tattooed with the design of the Star of David. Was this a purposeful move on behalf of the house of John Galliano? Or an awkward oversight? Had the model in question not been aware of the scandal that had rocked the industry? That seems highly unlikely -- but then why did she agree to walk?

As of now, there are no answers to these questions, but we're sure we'll hear something in the next few days....in the meantime it's just another odd blip in the strange, strange world of Paris Fashion Week this season.
