Inbox Full: Coach's Preview Invite

Now that the madness of Fashion Week is over, it's time to start hitting up showrooms to get a closer look at the goods. It's hard to get all the delicious details for every piece when models are practically jogging back and forth down the catwalk. So it's no surprise to find our inboxes (virtual and actual) bulging with requests to get up close and personal with the collections.

While most invites are rendered on flimsy paper, one weighty one fell across our desk last week courtesy of the kids at Coach, purveyors of fabulous leather delights. When we opened it, our nostrils were smacked with the aroma of divine musky leather. In a clever move, the team sent out their save-the-dates on a thick, buttery piece of hefty embossed cowhide. In addition to giving us the particulars of who, what, when and where, the back offered up some clues as to what to expect from the company -- like a fashion version of The Davinci Code. Finely etched "ticking stripe" lined the back of the leather, and we're told its a hint of what lay ahead for Coach this season. And as an especially interesting tidbit of gossip for their loyal male devotees, the label is refocusing and refining their men's collection. We're dying to see how it all looks -- we trust it will be heavenly -- but we'll tell you all about it once we lay our eyes on the goodies (sorry, this event is not open to the public....we'll bring you along next time, we promise!).
