Fashion Week Diary: Eric Jennings

3:00PMOnce again I'm in Chelsea for a presentation in the Starrett Lehigh building. Boy does this place hold memories as I used to work here many years ago. I'm here to see Antonio Azzuolo's collection (pictured below). I recently sat next to Antonio at the Fashion Group International awards luncheon. He was up for Best New Men's Designer and although he didn't win, I promised I would come see his collection. The sun was starting to set making the views of Manhattan spectacular. The models and the collection were gorgeous.

The next stop on the fashion express? Band of Outsiders show at 6 PM. There had been issues with tickets and seating all day, so I had been communicating with the designer Scott Sternberg and his PR person trying to get things straightened out. Once there, getting in was seamless and I was escorted right to my seat. This was Band of Outsiders' first runway show and it was great to see all the buzz/press/celebrities there.

After the show I wanted to go backstage with our President to congratulate Scott on an amazing collection. I spotted Grace Coddington, the infamous red-headed editor from Vogue, and thought who better to follow hoping she knew the way. Well, she didn't and my President wasn't happy with my navigational skills. Eventually we found Scott, congratulated him on a terrific show and made our way out passing Kanye West and Kirsten Dunst (she has the most amazing blue eyes that I have ever seen btw).

7:00PM
The Billy Reid presentation at Milk Studios is the finale of my day. It was absolute mayhem getting in, but I wanted to make sure I said hello to Billy. When you look up "Southern gentleman" in the dictionary, you'll see a picture of him.

8:30 PM
I am heading home to spend some quality time with my partner before another day at the shows. I'm just crossing my fingers I find a flower store along the way.
