Alexandre Plokhov's Latest Collection Makes a Screen Splash

The New York Times' Bruce Pask sits front row at every show, from New York to Paris, but sometimes its the off-the-beaten path warehouses with no ventilation and a heap of talent that catch an editor's eye. This season, he fell madly in love with Alexandre Plokhov's collection, shown in an Parisian art gallery during men's fashion week. Plokhov, a alum of the cult hit Cloak and Versace menswear, is debuting his darkly romantic and deceptively simple menswear collection. He's also released a video, directed by Douglas Keeve, to accompany it. It's youthfully cut suiting mixed with harness-like pieces, gothically mysterious outerwear appeals to a broad range of customers, from the traditional to the experimental. The video above is appropriately exciting and bizarre. We'll definitely be keeping an eye on Plokhov and his latest chapter in the world of fashion.
