The Year of Robyn

12.14.2010

By Noah Michelson

With three ingenious albums full of beat-heavy, heart-marauding songs under her belt in less than 12 months, countless sweat-drenched sold out tour dates, and an eschewing of heavy-handed performance art in favor of kick ass showmanship, Robyn is our woman of the year.

But the year isn't over and even though Christmas isn't here yet, the saucy Swede is already handing out presents. The first: her new interactive "We Dance To The Beat" site where you can engineer your own beats and share them with other Robyn fans. The second: rumors that the pop star will be headed back into the studio in January with the promise of delivering more new music next year. Does this woman ever take a break? (Luckily for us, the answer seems to be no.)

Check out our interview with Robyn from earlier this year (above), whip up some beats, and celebrate Sweden's finest export.
