Betty White gets Britted by Jane Lynch

Betty White's renaissance is not just a U.S. phenom. On Thursday night the Golden Girl recieved a standing ovation from an audience of Anglophiles at the annual Britannia Awards, hosted by big ol' gay Stephen Fry, who called her "one of my absolutely all-time favorite people on the surface of this planet." White, who was presented with the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy by Glee's Jane Lynch and her Hot in Cleveland co-stars, told the audience, "I wouldn't be the lucky old broad that I am -- I mean 'old' in a facetious way -- if I weren't so passionate about show business, about animals." Fellow Britannia Award recipient Michael Sheen, a co-star of Fry's in Wilde, greeted the host as "the man I had my first screen kiss with--you never cease to engorge me," quickly followed up with the clarification: "He was the first man to give me a swift buggering." No word on who was the second.
