Based on the strength of her demos alone, Clare Maguire garnered 1.5 million hits on MySpace. Soon after, Jarvis Cocker, Plan B and a host of other producers and artists offered songs to her, and she's also already caught the attention of both Rick Rubin and Jay-Z. Plus -- she's already been remixed by Memory Tapes, which automatically makes her totally charlie chill.
Maguire's voice has been compared to Kate Bush and Annie Lennox and we wouldn't be mad at you if you thought Stevie Nicks oughta be thrown into that mix, too. Her first single, "Ain't Nobody," (see the video -- which reminds us a bit of Madonna's "Frozen" -- above) will be released digitally on October 26 in the U.S.
