Happy Birthday Julie Andrews!
By Max Berlinger
Julie Andrews (otherwise known as Eliza Doolittle, Mary Poppins, and the singing nun in that three-hour movie about mountains and Nazis that we watch every Christmas) turns 75 years young today! Congrats Julie, you've successfully gotten old without your face looking tighter than a hipster's jeans, which is a feat in itself. You were gayer than a three-dollar bill before gay people were even invented!
Here is Julie singing with the Muppets way back in the day. Loving the bowl cut and the fact that even though all the little raggedy creatures are trying to be cutes-y and funny, Jules is all about making sure she works out her vocal cords. Girlfriend does not play when it comes to singing a ditty, like a good diva should. Miss Piggy better watch her back. Julie will cut 'chu.
