Who knew donating to charity could be so rewarding?
Actor Hugh Jackman is currently auctioning off two physical training sessions on Charitybuzz to raise money for the Summit School, a facility that specializes in educating "children with learning and adjustment challenges." The highest bidder will join Mr. Jackman in New York City as he beefs up for the next X-Men sequel.
The description on the site reads: He didn't get to be People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" - or Wolverine - by sitting on the sidelines. Hugh Jackman is known for his incredible physique (those shoulders, those abs!) as well as for being one of the nicest guys around. Soon, he'll be getting ready for X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2 and literally transforming his body into that of Wolverine. And he wants you to join him in the gym and begin your own transformation!
Will he be working out shirtless?, you ask. "Sure!" said Jackman. "No problem. You know me, I'm a whore. I think I was shirtless for the whole time in my first movie in Australia and I think I only made about $4,000."
And if you're worried about keeping up, Jackman added, "If you want to throw up, there's every opportunity. But if you want to come and have a light sweat, want to have a bit of fun, maybe an autograph or two, you can do that as well."
"Whore" + "bit of fun" + "light sweat" + "shirtless" = ???
As of now, the current bid is $13,500, but with a day left it's sure to increase. While I'm not normally a gambling man, ten bucks says a gay guy makes the highest bid.
