Last Thursday Adam Lambert confirmed his upcoming appearance on Oprah and yesterday the American Idol star taped his appearance. People reports that the singer chatted with the Queen of the Universe about "Simon Cowell's announced departure from Idol and its possible ramifications for the show, what life was like for him both pre-Idol and after, and his controversial performance at the American Music Awards (we wonder if we'll get a mention?). Susan Boyle is also slated to appear on the show which airs next Tuesday, January 19.

Afterward, Lambert did what any theater queen does to celebrate an especially good day: he caught a drag show -- "Drag Race," the American Idol of the drag world at Roscoe's Tavern & Cafe in Boystown.
