A Night At The Museum with Fischerspooner and Animal Collective

Photos: Nathan Jones

It seemed the whole of Williamsburg made the trip over the East River on Friday night to attend The Natural History Museum's One Step Beyond dance party featuring DJ sets by Fischerspooner -- who also debuted their new video for "The Best Revenge" at OSB on the main screen in the Hall of The Universe -- Animal Collective, and other DJs who work with design music agency Activaire.

While party goers awaited the start of Fischerspooner's (above) set, they milled about the gorgeous Rose Center for Earth and Space while nursing Buds in rocket-shaped bottles and discreetly checking out the each other's plaid shirts, mustard miniskirts, and mega-moussed hair.

Animal Collective (above) took to the stage soon after Fischerspooner and as the crowd crushed in upon itself (this sucker was beyond sold out) I realized 1) my weight on Mars is 55 pounds and 2) I was partying in the Natural History Museum -- one of the coolest experiences in recent memory.

If you want to be there with me next time, check out One Step Beyond's website and get your tickets ASAP or come February 18, March 12, April 9, May 14 or June 11 you'll be the one standing out in the cold in your ripped American Apparel leggings and over-size t-shirt begging the security guard not to kick you off the museum steps so you can scrounge for extra tickets.
