Dear Chris Colfer

Chris, I recently wrote a rather harsh critique of your prime-time depiction of the gay high school experience, which I completely stand behind -- I still think Kurt is being played like some strange out-dated joke -- however, you were just so endearing and sharp in the presence of Chelsea Handler, compared to say... Jason Stackhouse, that I had to write a follow-up.

I won't pretend like Chelsea didn't totally pull open the closet door when you weren't looking. Ah! Wasn't it just like that holiday party where you tried to give the wink-eye to Mom so she wouldn't say anything about your Leonardo DiCaprio poster in front of conservative, yet wealthy Aunt Gladys, and then she did it anyway? But you totally rolled with it and you nodded with just a touch of earnest apprehension, and good for you, especially since you weren't out in high school and now it's on national television. Chelsea's right. "Seriously, don't be shy about that, because there was that whole hub-bub before...and an actor like you is helping a zillion other people that are scared to talk about their sexuality." I've spent all semester complaining to my friends that there are no out actors under the age of 25, and now here you are! Now all you have to do is make it into the pages of J-14, something I don't believe an openly gay teenage celebrity has ever done, and pretty much a few of my dreams will be complete.

Also, it was so nice of you to attend the Trevor Project function last night. I was once almost run-over by one of their trucks, an occurrence I find deeply ironic, but that's a story for another time. I'm just glad we've reached this understanding about each other. So...Pinkberry and 17 Again from Blockbuster?

In other twink news not having to do with myself, Zac Efron was spotted wandering the Vancouver streets with Vanessa Hudgens in a very short skirt (it's cold out! I worry for her!), no surprise there, BUT, can anyone identify this skinny-legged possibly-Canadian boy in this photo? I normally dislike making gay jokes about Zac Efron, -- but their love is so clearly etched in the stars.
