On September 24 Dr. Sudhir Paul, rock star Amanda Blank, DJ's Josh Sparber and Lauren Flax, and a 30 person host committee -- along with hundreds of HIV/AIDS activists and supporters -- will throw a party aimed at helping to end the AIDS epidemic once and for all. Hard Medicine will help raise funds to benefit Dr. Paul's work -- he's spent the last 26 years searching for a cure for HIV after accidentally discovering antibodies with catalytic activity in one of his patients in the 1980's -- and it will mark the official launch of his 501 c3 non-profit organization, Covalent Immunology, and its new website, endhiv.com.
In addition to musical performances by Amanda Blank and DJ's Josh Sparber and Lauren Flax, the 300 person gala will feature an open bar, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction including DVF clothing, a Bottega Veneta wallet, an Eduardo Garza home decor piece, original artwork and other fashion pieces like jewelry by Bing Bang.
Hard Medicine guests will also see the debut of a viral video featuring several celebrities and HIV/AIDS activists designed to raise funds from donors around the world.
