Even though (500) Days of Summer looks crushingly depressing, I still want to see it. If not for its leads -- the dashing Joseph Gordon-Levitt and the sweet as freshly microwaved pancake syrup Zooey Deschanel -- then for it's startlingly good soundtrack. From Regina Spektor's killer ode to statuary love, "Us," to The Smiths "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" (if you haven't heard this song I pity you. Pining for the one you love but who maybe doesn't love you back just isn't pining without this song playing on repeat), the album delivers track after track meant to stalk and/or dejectedly mope by. Give the video montage from the film featuring the aforementioned Spektor song and Wolfmother's "Vagabond" a play and wait for the tingly despair of love found and then lost to wash over you.
