Common Projects Expands For Fall

When an accessories line as simple and delightful as Common Projects comes along, one would be hard-pressed not to love the totality of the collection. The result of an ongoing cross-Atlantic collaboration between New Yorker Prathan Poopat and Italian Flavio Girolami, Common Projects is most widely know for its quest for the perfect sneaker. For the upcoming F/W 09 collection the focus has refreshingly shifted, adding in distressed boots and suede laceless loafers to their normally muted ensemble of white and grey tennis shoes.

Beyond the shoes, CP is also introducing a limited line of F/W accessories, including shoulder bags, wallets, and one helluva good-looking pair of limited MOSCOT Type One sunglasses. Instead of coming off tiringly ubiquitous, CP pretty much nails the shape with a perfect alternative to Ray Bans. A pair of sneakers, a pair of boots, one bag and the sunglasses and you're accessorized year round.

Clockwise from top left: Officer's combat boot, $495; Common Projects + MOSCOT "Type One" sunglasses,$285; Duffle bag, $575; Original Achilles Low, $340

Common Projects is available in department stores and boutiques nationwide.
