Late of the Pier Whip it up

Late of the Pier's set up took so long that once they hit the stage, there was an explosion of energy and joyous flailing commenced. By the middle of the set, as the boys threw out dance hook after dance hook from their debut album Fantasy Black Channel, the flailing turned into beautiful, violent kind of slam dancing. Front man Sam Eastgate, wearing a shiny sleeveless top and velvety red pants and, doubtlessly tired of his vocal duties, ended the show with a bang by falling trustingly into the seething crowd which was only too happy for an opportunity to cop a good grope.

As the crowd screamed for more, the band pulled a disappearing act and the house lights came up double-quick: universal sign of "show over." We'll blame The Whip for hogging the stage earlier that night and look forward to the next time Late of the Pier pulls into NYC.
