Your Superbowl party just got gayer

If you noticed a minor blip in the queer atmosphere back around New Year's -- quickly corrected by your stellar Popnog pilot, Noah Michelson, of course -- you can blame me for the turbulence. After more than two years cranking out several thousand total gay jokes for Personality Machine/Popnography/PlanetOut/Out Magazine/Regent Media, I hung up my tiara and took my act across town. (Don't worry, I'll still be dropping by the blog and the magazine from time to time.)

Lo and behold, I'd been at my new gig over at Current TV's music department for less than a month when it got all gay on me too. I didn't have much to do with this roundup of the gayest NFL raps ever used to promote the utter manliness of a team, but in celebration of this weekend's Superbowl, Noah said I could come back and share it with all of you as a belated parting gift.

Be warned: Current Music's on-air host, Douglas Caballero, is wickedly hot, especially when poking fun at dudes and their relative comfort zones for homoeroticism. The crazy shit that pro football players did in the '80s may cause a painful amount of hysterical laughter. But it'll give you plenty to talk about whether you're laying in supplies for a Bowl bust or planning to explore the alternate programming cable TV is working so hard to bring you -- Puppy Bowl! or marathons of CSI, ANTM, House or The Closer.
