Out 100: Thom Browne, Stylemaker of the Year

Fashion darling Thom Browne has racked up a number of mantle-worthy awards (i.e. CFDA Award for Menswear), but now, he can add one more: Out 100 Stylemaker of the Year.

Not only did Mr. Browne spark a revolution in menswear with impeccably-tailored, quirky ankle-baring, slim suits that launched a thousand imitations, but he also breathed new life into the esteemed Brooks Brothers brand, which had become staid beyond die hard fans over 50 and Wall Streeters.

His designs brought suits and martini-drinking, empowered men back to the forefront of American fashion when whole cities were awash in distressed denim (cough, cough, L.A.) and metrosexual adrogyny. So stylish are Mr. Browne's clothes that his suits are easily identifiable amidst a sea of ill-fitting two-button suits that plague high-powered and clueless executives.
