Avicii’s ‘Addicted To’ You Is Bonnie And Clyde With A Lesbian Twist

Avicii's debut LP, True, was in many ways an ode to Americana. With Bluegrass, Rockabilly, and Country influences, the album was so American that the pre-ordered copies may as well have been delivered by Bald Eagles. The videos, besides being more 'Murrican than a deep fried apple pie wrapped in the Constitution, aren't afraid to tread into queer territory. While "Wake Me Up" was coy with the topic--the narrative hinged on two outcasts looking for their community and ultimately acceptance--"Addicted To You" stands firmly the far right side of the Kinsey scale.

Directed by Sebastian Ringler, the "Addicted To You" video is Bonnie and Clyde, but Clyde's also a lady. Exhilarating, brilliantly edited, and accompanied by the killer track, the video is most certainly a worthy companion to the song. There is also a room full of naked guys, because either: 1) fan service, or 2) maybe this video stands firmly in the center of the Kinsey scale. Ether way it is well worth a look.
