Simon Cowell sure can woo the ladies!
First Ellen blew our minds by joining the panel of American Idol. Then Jennifer Lopez repeated the feat by filling in when Ellen decided to step down.
And it looks like Britney Spears might be next!
Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Spears "will likely" join Cowell as one of the judges on his Fox series The X Factor, replacing one of the seats vacated by exiting judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.
It has also been reported that Spears will get a cool $10 million payday for the gig, which we certainly would not quibble over.
But we have to wonder how Britney's old pal from The Mickey Mouse Club, Christina Aguilera, will feel about this. After all, she has her own hit with similar series The Voice and it has been a long time since these old rivals were really gunning for the same throne.
Can two singing competitions-one starring Britney and the other starring Christina-exist simultaneously on Earth without dire implications?
We think so!
