Rapper T.I. thinks that the gays need to develop a sense of humor.
The "Swagga Like Us" performer, who just a month ago was busted on gun charges and is currently out of jail on $3 million in bail, opened up to Vibe magazine's December issue about how humorless he finds the gay community.
Commenting on Tracy Morgan's anti-gay rant last June, T.I. (whose real name is Clifford Harris) said, "Man, I will say this, the funniest joke I ever heard Tracy say during a stand-up was, 'C'mon man, I think gay people are too sensitive.' "
Another charming bit of Morgan's witticism? " 'If you can take a dick, you can take a joke,'" shared T.I. "That shit was funny to me. And it's kind of true."
Being able to make jokes is, of course, a right protected by the First Amendment. And for T.I., that apparently really means something. The idea that offended gays speak out against detractors strikes him as downright un-patriotic.
"That's not American," he said. "If you're gay, you should have the right to be gay in peace, and if you're against it you should have the right to be against it in peace."
