Based on David Sedaris's short story of the same name, C.O.G. stars Jonathan Groff (Glee, Boss) as a pompous Yale grad who takes a job picking apples in Oregon, only to have his core shaken by his various encounters. (September 20)

Concussion
Robin Weigert plays a housewife who's had it with her kids, her house, and her wife. After a blow to the head, she decides to buy and fix up her own loft in Manhattan. What follows is a midlife crisis-turned-sexual odyssey. (October 4)

Machete Kills
The second entry in Robert Rodriguez's campy Machete series stars Danny Trejo as the titular ex-Federale who hacks and slashes his way through Mexico to bring down an arms dealer. More important, Lady Gaga makes her film debut playing someone called La Chameleon. (October 4)

Valentine Road
In February 2008, 15-year-old Lawrence King was fatally shot by a classmate in what was called "the most prominent gay-bias crime since the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard." In her new documentary, director Marta Cunningham sets out to make sense of the senseless killing. (October 7 on HBO)
