Have you signed up for Twitter yet? If not, you're missing all kinds of juicy insider news, including the following tidbit. Bret Easton Ellis, author of American Psycho and The Rules of Attraction, is currently polishing off a treatment for a small film noir piece to be written by Paul Schrader (who did the screenplays of Taxi Driver and The Last Temptation of Christ). Think those two impressive pedigrees are enough to ensure a decent movie?
How about we throw adult film star James Deen into the mix?
That's exactly what Ellis wants to do. He recently mentioned on Twitter that the treatment is "...for James Deen to star in. He has to act and be full-frontal naked banging girls and guys." As we've come to expect in the Twitterverse, Deen himself rejoined on his Twitter with a retweet and a succinct "Party," in response. Ellis later wrote that Deen is his first choice to play one of two roles in the noir, assuming, it seems, that Deen can act.
Our big question is whether Deen can bang girls AND guys full frontal. As far as we can tell from his blog (NSFW), the all-American porn star, who lacks the bulging, waxed physique of most men in his field, has yet to go gay-for-pay. (If we're wrong on this, please send us a link ASAP.)
But if Deen won't bed a boy for money, maybe he'll do it for art? We'll keep you posted.
