The young UK-based Clinch is emerging as a new talent in fashion photography

Conor Clinch was just 14 when he got his first camera, a "phase" his parents were happy to support. Flash forward four years, not only is Conor a veteran fashion photographer for LFW and LCM and a recognized figure about his native Dublin - he's found a fan in influential British portrait and fashion photographer Rankin.

"Rarely does a very talented young photographer stop me in my tracks," the iconic artist said. "Conor Clinch is one of those rarities." Clearly, this is much more than a passing fancy.

Never completely satisfied, Conor says he's always challenging himself creatively, and he's amassed an impressive portfolio of shoots for the likes of Hunger magazine, Topman and Vogue.com. All of this, of course, while a full-time high school student. Initially, he says his age meant it was hard to be taken seriously--something which made him all the more motivated to succeed. So when he saw Rankin's Twitter calling for "undiscovered talents" earlier this year, he jumped at the chance.

One last-minute application later, Conor found himself on a flight to London to take part in Sky TV's Ones To Watch series. The show paired up-and-comers with big names in their industries: music with Paloma Faith, food with Gizzi Erskine, film with Idris Elba, and photography with Rankin. After a series of daily challenges, Conor presented his final showcase, "Fresh," an exploration of lad culture in Britain and their attitude towards clothes.

"Fresh" will be opening in Dublin for a second showing this fall. With great feedback and ever growing interest, Conor says he's looking forward to keeping the momentum going, with a move to London hopefully on the way. This 18-year-old talent is, most definitely, one to watch.
