From the Habsburg Empire's celebration of the Roman figure to interwar representations of the gym bunny ubermensch, German artists have carved quite a place for themselves in the annals of the male nude, challenging Zurich's erections and perhaps even Stockholm's.
You'll notice here that Louis Tuaillon created a number of male nudes throughout Germany, and so too did Georg Kolbe.
