You Know him From:Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, as a Bollywood-dancing goth.

What's Next: The lead role of Saleem Sinai in Deepa Mehta's adaptation of Salman Rushdie's epic novel, Midnight's Children; his own directorial and screenwriting debut, Meteor Night -- in his words, a short "about two best friends who live together whose plans to watch a very rare meteor shower are upended when they have to go and help a dying movie star, played by John Glover."

"I've always loved performing. The Marx Brothers and Fred Astaire were my first big influences. When I was three years old I came home with an assignment that said, 'When I grow up I want to be....' And I crossed out the 'want to be' and defiantly wrote, 'will be.' I am not cookie-cutter -- I don't fit into a lot of traditional American archetypes. [Hollywood] is a fast business, and what happens is a bunch of boxes get thrown into a room and they need to find the correct-sized peg to fit in all these boxes, and that doesn't always result in interesting match-ups."
