We recently worked with members of the Paul Taylor Dance Company for a March fashion spread. Now it's time to see the dancers in their own element as they take the stage for their season.

For more than 40 years the company has been performing at New York's City Center. This year, they take their season up to the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. The program includes the New York premieres of three dances, the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Mr. Taylor's landmark dance Aureole, and the long-awaited revival of Junction and House of Cards. Tonight it kicks off with Aureole, Troilus and Cressida (reduced), Brandenburgs, and Piazzolla Caldera.

As Alastair Macauley asked in a recent story in the New York Times: "Have any other important choreographers ever been able to present a major retrospective spanning half a century? Answer: Only Frederick Ashton, George Balanchine, Merce Cunningham, Martha Graham, and Jerome Robbins -- 'and they're a' deid.' Mr. Taylor danced for three of them."
