Monday, September 22: Tune in to The Ellen DeGeneres Show today to catch Dolly Parton performing her newly released single "Shinola" off her critically acclaimed album Backwoods Barbie. Partons spot on Ellen will give you a taste of what to expect during the buxom blondes Backwoods Barbie World Tour, the next leg of which starts October 17 in Florida and runs through the middle of November. She may be 62, but Dolly is as young-spirited and divalicious as ever. Head to Ticketmaster for concert dates and tickets in your area, then check local listings for Partons appearance on Ellen.

Tuesday, September 23: Dont fight it: Sit back, relax, and, as they say, get Carried away, cosmo in hand, as Sex and the City the Movie (above) comes out today on DVD. (Not a cosmo fan? Try following this recipe for a Celebrity Crush from mixologist Brian Loukmas.) Also out on DVD today: On the Downlow, director Abigail Child's docudrama that follows four young African-American men who live on the down low in urban Cleveland. The film offers us a glimpse into the lives of Antonio, an ex-convict who went DL while incarcerated, and Ray, who has an affection for drag queens. Get more information and the option to pre-order here from Amazon.

Wednesday, September 24: Guys will want to catch Justin Bruening (of Cold Case) playing with his stick this evening. Well, OK, were talking about a gearshift and it belongs to KITT, his sleek, nanotechnology-powered Ford Mustang in the remake of the 1980s hit TV series Knight Rider. Bruening plays the son of Michael Knight -- David Hasselhoff in the original series. (It seems Hasselhoff is too busy critiquing Americans doing ridiculous things to appear in the remake.) Deanna Russo (NCIS), Sydney Tamiia Poitier (Veronica Mars), and Bruce Davison (Kingdom Hospital, X-Men) costar. Knight Riderpremieres tonight at 8:00 PM EST on NBC.

Thursday, September 25: Dont wake up alone this morning. Instead, wake up with Who Killed Amanda Palmer, the new solo album from -- aptly enough -- Amanda Palmer (above), the bisexual singer-pianist who makes up one half of the Dresden Dolls. The record is a tongue-in-cheek homage to David Lynchs Twin Peaks (the 1990s hit TV series chronicling the investigation of the murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer, of course). Bonus: WKAP was coproduced by Ben Folds. Read more about Amanda and the album on her stunning website.

Friday, September 26:Opening tonight on the big screen is Choke, director Clark Greggs nihilistic dark comedy that combines sex addicts, Virginias colonial Williamsburg, tenuous mother-son relationships, Jesus's foreskin, and a scam involving choking in upscale restaurants. The film is a wicked adaptation of the novel by queer author Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club). The fantastic Sam Rockwell (above right, with Brad William Henke) and Anjelica Huston star. Check out background on the film and interviews with Gregg and Palahniuk.

Saturday, September 27: Today thousands of people from across the country are expected to participate in The Recovery Project's Recovery Rally, forming a human chain across New York City's Brooklyn Bridge. The Recovery Project is a multi-year initiative launched by A&E (which produces Intervention, the gripping reality show that follows people struggling with addiction) and formed in partnership with the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD), federal agencies, and nonprofit organizations. This year's rally will conclude at City Hall Park in Lower Manhattan with a special performance by venerable gay singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright.

Sunday, September 28: In 2003, Reichen Lehmkuhl and Chip Arndt became the first gay couple to win CBSs The Amazing Race. Today, the network premieres the 13th installation of this adrenaline-pumping race around the world. Contestants this season include southern belle best friends Marisa and Brooke, the latter of whom apparently speaks Swahili. (We cant wait to see that.) Also be on the lookout for 22-year-old hottie Nick (paired with his sister Star), whose biggest weakness is being condescending to her. Lets hope his second-biggest "weakness" is men. Tune in to CBS tonight at 8:00 PM EST.

Another must-see is the HBO series premiere of Little Britain USA, in which the stars of the BBC smash-hit Little Britain -- goofballs Matt Lucas (gay) and David Walliams (not gay, but totally into third-rate drag) -- bring their surreal, edgy sketch comedy to the U.S. With routines updated for this side of the pond, the show promises to be an outrageous look at the quirkiest inhabitants of the country.

Read more about Little Britain from Out's cover story here, then tune in to HBO at 10:30 PM EST.
