The Gay Agenda
By Edgar Casillas
FLICK: In Priceless a case of mistaken identity unites Irene (Audrey Tautou) and Jean (Gad Elamaleh) for an amorous affair -- that is, until millionaire-seducing Irene discovers Jean's meager financial background. Not wanting to be left in the dust, Jean plays up his own charm onto wealthy women, beginning a playful competition between him and Irene as they use rich lovers to increase their own value (and interest in one another). The scintillating chase opens in limited release on March 28. See the trailer here.
TUNES: Celebrating his successful 20-year solo career, Morrisey's Greatest Hits reaches American shores March 25. The CD set, which will be released in three versions, includes 15 of Moz's U.K. Top 20 singles. Also out this week: the B-52's Funplex, their first album in 16 years; Panic at the Disco's Beatle-esque homage Pretty Odd.; and The Odd Couple, the second full-length from "Crazy" maestros Gnarls Barkley.
SPECTACLE: Bob Mould's North American tour takes him to San Francisco March 26 (see him at the Grand American Music Hall) then to Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver later in the week.
