HEARTTHROB: Hearing the name Jay Brannan may conjure visions of one of the most precisely choreorgraphed gay threesomes ever caught on film, but the Shortbus star (above) is also a singer-songwriter who's played to sold-out audiences nationwide. Catch him and his mercilessly fine mug trilling folk-tastic ditties on February 16 at New York City's Bowery Ballroom, 6 Delancey St. Who knows, maybe if enough of us heckle him, he'll buckle under the pressure and get naked for the encores.

EROS: Need a little fore-foreplay to get your date going? Stop by the Valentines Day poetry reading from The Best American Erotic Poems, edited by David Lehman, and featuring an enviable ensemble of poets including Mark Strand, Billy Collins, Deborah Landau, Honor Moore, Molly Peacock and Out's very own power intern Noah Michelson. These tastefully naughty tales of mind-numbing fellatio begin at 7pm at New York Universitys Hemmerdinger Hall in the Silver Center, 100 Washington Square East.

SPECTACLE: Running through March 9, 2008, SNAP! is a collection of portraits set in Hollywood of iconic gender-bending performers, louche night creatures, and sublebrities of the Los Angeles and New York City underground. Photographer Peter Palladino explores visions of urban drag queens and porn stars, which he contrasts successfully between black and white portraits and colorful digital images. Hit up the exhibit at the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Centers Village at Ed Gould Plaza, 1125 N. McCaddaen Place, in Los Angeles.

FLICK: Ryan Reynolds doesn't lose any of his appeal or charm in his turn from fierce action hottie to caring daddy in Definitely, Maybe. His peerless man candy status is still intact here, only this time his first priority is his adorable daughter Abigail Bresline (Little Miss Sunshine), who begins a puzzling quest to decipher her fathers past romantic life and figure out who ended up becoming her mother. In the process, Reynolds youthful escapades are relived, forcing little Abigail (above) to discover the sometimes-turbulent adventures that epitomize the chase for love. The film hits theaters Valentines Day, but you can watch the trailer here.

TUNES: The debut album from out singer Dwayne Britton will complement a romantic Valentines Day dinner as well as that special-occasion bottle of chianti youve been saving. Brittons delivery is precise and powerful, as best exemplified in his winning rendition of Tori Amo's Baker Baker. The self-titled album comes out February 12 and is available on iTunes.
