The Gay Agenda

Sigarros_1106
FLICK: Check out the big-screen adaptation of Star Trek scribe David Gerrolds autobiographical novel Martian Child. The film tells the story of David (John Cusack), a writer who seeks solace from a bad breakup by adopting a young boy who believes hes an alien from Mars. The main character, who was queer in the book, is now straight, but the movie still tackles themes resonant to the gays -- like the families we create for ourselves. Bonus: Gay icon Joan Cusack cameos. TUNES: The boys of Icelandic indie outfit Sigur Ros break their two-year silence with Hvarf-Heim, out November 6. The limited-edition release features two albums: Hvarf, a five-song electric studio recording, and Heim, a six-song acoustic record. Hvarf-Heim serves as the companion album to the bands straight-to-DVD film, Heima, and includes three previously unreleased tracks. TUBE: Anyone eagerly awaiting this seasons first Dynasty-esque cat fight should tune in to a recent episode of The Office. Former Dundler-Mifflin employee (and Jim's spurned ex-girlfriend) Karen (Rashida Jones) returns to the Scranton office and finds her former BF dating her nemesis Pam (Jenna Fischer). Watch it by logging on to NBC.com. PAGES: Risk takers should pick up queer horror legend (and father of Pinhead) Clive Barker's latest monstrous creation, Mister B. Gone, a faux autobiography of a powerful demon who has inserted himself into every page of the book so that the long-buried text will launch the apocalypse.
