The Gay Agenda

Gwyneth

FLICK: Given the breadth of talent in writer-director Jake Paltrows family (his father is director Bruce Paltrow, his mother is actress Blythe Danner, and his sister is Gwyneth Paltrow), expectations are understandably high for his debut feature, The Good Night. The film (which co-stars Gwyneth) tells the story of a former pop star (Martin Freeman) who chooses to live a fantasy instead of his own very dreary life. Sound familiar? BOOK: Satirist Stephen Colberts right-wing pundit character first made a splash on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart before getting his own hit series, The Colbert Report. Hopefully, he'll get lucky again with his book I Am America (And So Can You!), (out October 9), in which Colbert takes on everything aligned to destroy our country -- mainly, attractive gay men. DVD: Fans of soap operas, the supernatural, and the hot gay men of Dantes Cove will dig the The Lair: The Complete First Season, available October 9. The show centers around a private gentlemans club run by vampires who use their establishment to attract virile young men to feed on. Put us on the guest list, please. TUNES: Though her performance of the song at the MTV Video Music Awards is still considered a travesty, one has to admit that Britney Spearss Gimme More is damn catchy. The single, destined to become the guilty-pleasure of the year, is out October 9. BALLS:Gay Superbowl 7, the annual national gay flag-football championship, rolls into Manhattan this year. The largest field of teams yet are expected to participate in the event, held in East River Park October 4-7. For more information, go to
