Hot Summer Calendar

JULY 12: Outfest, the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, boasts an impressive lineup for its 25th Anniversary gala this year. Highlights include the Outfest 2007 Achievement Award presented to Dreamgirls director Bill Condon, Robert Cary's new film Save Me (starring Chad Allen and Robert Gant), and panel discussions with casts and crews from Ugly Betty and Brothers & Sisters. The festival runs through July 23. Outfest.org has the scoop.
JULY 13: Athletes racked by wanderlust should pack up and head over to Antwerp, Belgium, to check out the EuroGames, hosted by the European Gay & Lesbian Sport Federation. The event is welcoming 3,000 participants and 10,000 visitors this year, and the games include badminton, bowling, Thai boxing, and'our personal fave'wrestling. (The closing ceremony takes place July 15.) Get the deets at EuroGame.info.
JULY 14: Now that you've recovered from the bacchanalian insanity that is July 4th, grab a brick of brie and a bottle of pinot to celebrate French holiday Bastille Day. We're obsessed with Fromages.com, a site for cheese aficionados that features recipes for the tasting sessions as well as recipes for dishes like sea bream with Cantal and steamed oysters Fourme d'Ambert. Afterward, brush the teeth and go French-kiss your trick du jour.
JULY 15: It's the last day of Nude Recreation Week, so take a deep breath and take it off. All off. The Naturist Society hosts a slew of informative workshops and festivals all year long, and now they're offering a Nude Gardening Seminar & Celebration. (Visit NaturistSociety.com.) If that sounds a bit intense, just stay home and bake a quiche in the buff.
