TELEVISION The Agency (premiering Feb. 20 on VH1) This sizzling new reality show follows the bookers at the Wilhelmina Agencyone of the biggest modeling agencies in the world. Thanks to their ber-huge mens division, theres plenty of man candy in each episode (only in the modeling world can a gay man demand a straight guy take his shirt off and no one bats an eye), and the bookers are hilarious. Its cattier than Americas Next Top Model! The Big Gay Sketch Show (to premiere 2007 on Logo) The visionaries of this sketch-comedy series are Rosie ODonnell as executive producer and Amanda Bearse (Marcy from MarriedWith Children) as the shows director. Adam and Steve writer-director Craig Chester also lends his sharp wit to the show which promises live skits, musical numbers, and political satire. Self-proclaimed Gay Pimp Johnny McGovern is just one of the talented comedians on the show. SNL beware! BOOKS Hero (August from Hyperion) Perry Moorethe adorable producer of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobesees his debut novel, which follows the worlds first gay superhero, hit stands. While its classified as a book for young adults, Moore tells us the tome goes where no teen book has gone before (we hope he means that we get to know whats under this heros tights). Queens in the Kingdom: The Ultimate Gay and Lesbian Guide to the Disney Theme Parkssecond edition! (May from Avalon Travel) Only our own West Coast editor, Jeffrey Epstein (and his cowriter, Out contributor Eddie Shapiro), could make us actually excited about going to the Happiest Place on Earthagain! The sequel to their hilarious, best-selling travel guide offers updated and expanded entries, fresh Fairy Facts, and the top 10 spots to share a gay moment. And they do it all while tossing back martinis. You try to do that on Space Mountain. FILM 300 (March 9) Yes, its a bloody war movie based on the battle between Spartans and Persians, but it stars hottie Gerard Butlerand have you seen what these buffed guys wear to fight? It looks like capes and underwear. How could we miss it? Pirates of the Caribbean 3 (May 25) Johnny Depp paints on the eye liner one last time as Captain Jack Sparrow. Maybe he and Orlando Bloom will finally resolve their unspoken sexual tension. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (July 13) Just in time for his 18th birthday (on July 27th), Daniel Radcliffe reprises his role as the boy wizard, with a new director, David Yates, at the helm, and Voldemort (a very creepy Ralph Fiennes) ready to wreak havoc on the world. Muggles and half-bloods beware. Hairspray (July 20) The toe-tapping musical version of John Waterss classic flick hits the big screen with John Travolta filling the oversized dress of Edna Turnblatt. The Simpsons Movie (July 25) Will Smithers be even gayer on the big screen? Um, could Smithers be any gayer on the big screen? Im Not There (late 2007) Queer writer-director Todd Hayness latest flick is a biopic of Bob Dylan featuring multiple actors (including Richard Gere, Christian Bale, andCate Blanchett) playing the singer-songwriter at various stages of his life. THEATER Legally Blonde: The Musical (May, Broadway) Elle Woods (and her little gay dog, Bruiser) hits the Great White Way. With out director-choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray, The Full Monty) at the helm, its guaranteed to be a gay old time. Curtains (March, Broadway) Frasier cutie David Hyde Pierce stars in this new murder-mystery musical written by Kander and Ebb (and Rupert Holmes) set in 1959 Boston. Deuce (May, Broadway) Deuce, a new play by Terence McNally (Love! Valour! Compassion!), stars Angela Lansbury and Marian Seldes as two former doubles tennis legends reunited at a championship match. So, whos playing Martina? MUSIC Diana Ross, I Love You (January 17) For those wanting a taste of the original Dreamgirl, Diana Rosss new studio album captures 14 of her favorite love songs, including the new title track, I Love You. The diva returns. George Michael, U.S. tour (Spring) If ticket sales in Europe are any indication, George Michaels 25 Live show will be 2007s must-see concert. Lets just hope he doesnt get arrested before then!
