The Golden Gays!

We were thinking of heading to the Weinstein Company's party at Trader Vic's, but remembered that despite putting Transamerica leading lad Kevin Zegers on our January cover, we weren't invited to the bash. Hey, we're not too bitter. Luckily, we weren't alone; the movie's Calpernia Addams (who interviewed Globe winner Felicity Huffman for our December issue) and Andrea James were left off the guest list as well. 'I guess our tickets were lost in the mail,' chirped the always good-natured Addams without a drop of malice, when we called to see if she was going. Gotta love her. Besides, she's cohosting with Reichen Lehmkuhl on his Q Television show all week, so she already had plans.

Instead, we headed off to HBO's poolside soiree, where a ring of fire burning over the water greeted guests. We walked in alongside the newest Superman, Brandon Routh, who looked pretty damn super. Jeremy Piven, Kevin Dillion, and other Entourage castmates huddled under the heat lamps, and we saw even more Lost cast members mingling, including the ultra-sexy Matthew Fox, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Harold Perrineau.

Paris Hilton buzzed into the party for about three minutes (before apparently realizing HBO actually makes quality entertainment), and we brushed past Jane Kaczmarek, Chloe Sevigny, Alfre Woodard, winner Mary-Louise Parker, and Rosario Dawson who was with her hunky boyfriend, Jason Lewis.

We ran into our September cover guy, Jesse L. Martin, who somehow got hold of a statue. 'I'm the guardian,' he cracked before telling us it was his pal S. Epatha Merkerson's trophy (which she earned for Lackawanna Blues). Martin, who isn't a big fan of Los Angeles, was kind enough to accompany his Law & Order costar out west for the celebration. 'I can't wait to get back!' he cracked. We let him know how much we loved Rent. 'I'm so proud of it,' he beamed. And next up, he's looking forward to a vacation'maybe Brazil. After all those parties, we could use a vacation too.
